City Pictures and Events

There is something very special and unique about our community. We always come together to help those in need of assistance. That's one of the many things I love about Taylor. On Sunday October 27th, 2002, two special benefits were held for two of our families. A month ago, three people were injured in two separate accidents. The Harper Family and the Gayton Family both had loved ones seriously injured. The community came together and supported both of these events.

Brittany Gayton

Taylor High School was the setting for Brittany Gayton's Benefit Chicken Dinner

Many dedicated volunteers worked all night to cook 1,600 Bar-B-Q Chicken Halves

Harper Family

The members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church held this benefit that included a Fried Catfish Dinner

These are just a few of the many benefit fund raisers that occurs in Taylor each year. This is what makes our community very special....caring for one another!

I would like to sincerely thank all of the many volunteers who coordinated these fundraisers and the thousands of members of our community that bought tickets in support of both events.
